A new high school course on 3D printing technology is an exciting addition to your curriculum, offering students hands-on experience with cutting-edge tools and techniques.

This session will cover the steps required to take a student with any level of CAD experience to a Certified SolidWorks Associate (CSWA). First we will cover the process of accessing the free curriculum. Second we will review the lesson structure and contents. Lastly, we will work through the first lesson and answer any remaining questions.

Come and build a rubber band car and then test to see if you can go the distance. In this activity students will use basic math skills to calculate the distance of their vehicle traveled while challenging class mates to see who really can go the distance.This is an awesome activity for the transportation unit in College & Career Awareness or an Introduction to Technology class. This activity is definitely one that won't run out of gas as it travels to their home when the unit is completed.

By the end of this session, you’ll have a clear roadmap to streamline your curriculum planning and take back your time.

The What, Why and How of CTE pathways

This activity will help illustrate the need of engineers to continue developing resources that will help meet the demands of renewable energy sources for the future. Students will work in teams to have a hands on learning experience as they participate in this simple low cost activity of comparing non-renewable resources and renewable resources for providing the world with its energy needs. This activity is great for Engineering Technology and Introduction Technology Education classes

Join me as we explore the last 10 years of a philosophy change in how I communicate the progression of student learning, what a grade means, and how that works in a hands-on class environment. It’s been a journey full of glorious failures and incredible mind shifts. I’ll share how I’ve been able to make this work in over 10 different classes I’ve taught from construction to robotics and health to German.

A student showcase is an event that highlights students' work, skills, and talents to the community. Showcases can take many forms, including: Workshops, Performances, Networking events, Gallery nights, and Award ceremonies.
