The traditional approach to instruction relies on all students in each classroom being at the same place in their learning journey each day. We know this ideal can be practically impossible to achieve. By leveraging innovative planning and facilitation practices that put students at the center of their learning, educators can create opportunities for truly personalized instruction. In this session, we will explore the support that educators need in order to implement self-paced, mastery-based learning with their students and review examples from CTE Educators in the Davis School District.

Did you know there are various ways to provide Career and Technical Education (CTE) opportunities to students? In this engaging session, explore two unique models currently being implemented in Utah: OTECH High in Ogden and the Catalyst Center in the Davis School District. Discover how OTECH High integrates Personalized Competency-Based Learning (PCBL) with hands-on technical training, allowing students to remain enrolled at their home high schools while attending Ogden Weber Technical College. Additionally, learn about the Catalyst Center's CAPS model, where innovation, collaboration, and education come together to connect students with local businesses and industry partners. Join us to gain valuable insights into these dynamic CTE models and their impact on student success.

Joins us for a lively discussion about best practices in running successful CTSOs. We will talk membership recruitment, chapter activities, preparing students for competitions, and how to increase Leadership in your CTSO officer teams. Come prepared to share your best practices and learn from others.

Join pre-service Technology & Engineering teachers from Utah State University as we share ideas on adapting common projects in woods classes to appeal to both male and female students. These will include principles that can be applied to other content areas and courses.
