Using the simple tool of color cards to teach the content of the Interior Design 1 Color unit content. We will use the cards for color psychology, cultures, the color wheel, warm/cool, value/intensity, and schemes.

Are you tired of the same icebreakers year after year, or not sure how to engage students from day one? This presentation will talk about some fun icebreakers (get to know you projects) you can start with your classes the first day and use throughout the year/semester to build your classroom community and help students learn about each other. You should leave with a new idea and materials to make examples.

Do you dread teaching sewing? Come to learn about successful (and simple!) scaffolds you can put in place to increase your organization and efficiency as a teacher. You will also learn about my Sewing License process I use with my students to gradually build their confidence with operating a sewing machine in a fun but structured way! You will be sure to leave with at least one new strategy to implement in your class/lab.
