About me
Anya Burtis comes from Cache Valley. She attended Utah State University (Go Aggies!) and knew that Family Consumer Science Education was the degree for her. Having lived in Cache Valley all her life, she moved down to Salt Lake City where she has taught four years at Evergreen Junior High School for Granite School District. While teaching, she continued her education through Texas Tech University to receive her Masters Degree in FCSE. Over the years of teaching College and Career Awareness, Digital Literacy, and Family and Consumer Sciences- she recognizes the value in providing students real life experiences that goes beyond the classroom and into their personal lives while adding elements of fun and the involvement of the community surrounding the school. Reach out anytime to collaborate on lesson plans, resources, and she would be happy to help! amburtis@graniteschools.org
