About me
I am a CTE Coordinator (curriculum specialist) over the Computer Science & Information Technology program area in Granite School District; I have taught business and computer science courses, including Computer Programming 1, Computer Programming 2, IB Computer Science SL/HL, and Exploring Computer Science, and I have programmed in and/or taught numerous new (Python, Java, JavaScript, C#, Scratch) and older (COBOL, BASIC, QuickBASIC, C, Fortran, Pascal, Ada, Logo) languages in grades 5-12. Currently I am working to build the CSIT program in Granite district, including computer science, cybersecurity, and AR/VR, and I am the District Lead overseeing the Utah K-12 computer science integration program. I am passionate about helping teachers bring these programs into their schools and engaging all students in CSIT and STEM learning, and I am an advocate for K-12 cybersecurity education.
