Join us for an insightful session where we delve into the transformative power of mastery-based learning. In this session, we will explore the fundamental differences between mastery and traditional grading systems, and how shifting our focus to mastery can enhance student learning outcomes.

We will define what mastery truly means and discuss the various depths of mastery that students can achieve. You'll learn how to effectively track mastery at each step of the learning process using mastery scales and trackers. We'll also cover practical strategies for collecting and analyzing mastery data through formative and informal assessments.

By the end of this session, you'll have a comprehensive understanding of how to implement mastery-based learning in your classroom--even if your school uses traditional grading-- empowering your students to achieve their full potential.

Bring your laptop as we will be workshopping to build your Mastery Scales, and Mastery Trackers -- We'll be providing those templates in Word/Excel and Google Docs/Sheets. (If you don't have your laptop, that's ok -- come anyway!)

In this session Ben Peterson, from zSpace, will discuss how districts are using zSpace within the Skilled Trades classrooms to increase student engagement and learning. As a former CTE director, teachers in Ben's district used zSpace within the Skilled Trades, Automotive, Agriculture, and Health Science pathways. See how zSpace's goggle/glasses-free 3D technology allows the students to learn in ways you never imagined. This session will allow time for each participant to use the zSpace technology.
